Horn/woofer impedences

I currently have a 16 ohm JBL D130 and I'm in the process of looking for a twin. I intend to use it with a pair of Altec 811B horns, possibly running Selenium D220Ti drivers. The D220Ti comes in both 8 and 16 ohm impedance. I would assume that I'd need the 16 ohm version as my woofers are already 16 ohm?

Not in my opinion. You can run whatever impedance mids, just set the crossover for the impedances you choose.

"Crossover thoughts" is going to be my next thread on the subject. An eBay seller has the 2/3 bolt versions of the 220 listed for a bit less than PE with free shipping, but only has the 8 ohm drivers. PE has both, but they charge shipping. Diaphragms are cheap, I could always switch some 16s in if the 8s cause trouble.
