How to open a Bose Acoustimass 5 Powered Subwoofer

PLease no bad posts here...trying to salvage for wife a Bose AM5 powered subwoofer that only plays from one side when hooked up with cube speakers.

I thinking that a deoxit treatment might help it like on my vintage stuff.

Any ideas how to get into the powered section of the sub?

Hi Can, I discombobulated one a while back, let me see if I can remember...

On the "controls" end is a white plastic "shroud" that must be pried off with a screwdriver. Once inside this shroud, you have access to everything else. The main panel on this end is a black plastic panel that contains all the electronics. I'm not sure if you have to pull this inside panel to access the amp, or if you can get to it once the white shroud is off. I do remember that there's a healthy power transformer, and half-decent looking amp section (but only half!) inside there.

Never tried to take one of those apart, but from other adventures, be on the lookout for screws hidden under decals/labels and also under any type of rubber foot, cushion, etc.

Issue resolved

Just a quick post that the issue was actually a bad rca jack/speaker wire. I solved it by making another connection and then I had sound in the left side.
When in doubt sometimes the obvious is just too easy.
